Due to the global shortage of IPv4 addresses, Infinite residential Vision and NBN Plans are typically placed behind Carrier-Grade NAT (CG-NAT). This means multiple users share a single public IP address, which helps conserve the limited pool of IPv4 addresses.
While CG-NAT allows regular internet use such as web browsing, streaming, and gaming, it does have limitations, most notably, port forwarding is not supported in this setup.
This can affect your ability to host services like game servers, remote desktop, CCTV access, or other inbound connections to your home network.
If port forwarding or direct remote access to your devices is essential for your needs, please contact our support team. In many cases, we may be able to provide a dedicated public IP address depending on availability.
