If your Wi-Fi feels slower than usual, don’t worry it’s usually quick to fix. Follow these steps in order. Most customers solve the issue in a few minutes.
1. Restart your router
Unplug the power cable from your Calix GigaSpire 4.2.
Wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
Allow 2–3 minutes for it to fully restart.
2. Check your InfiniteIQapp
Open the app and look at the device list.
Too many devices streaming or downloading at once will slow things down.
Pause or disconnect any devices you don’t need online.
3. Move closer to the router
If speeds improve near the router, coverage may be the issue.
Place the router in a central location.
Keep it off the floor and away from cupboards or TVs.
Consider adding a mesh unit for larger homes.
4. Run a speed test
In the InfiniteIQ app, tap Tools > Speed Test.
This checks speed directly at the router.
If the speed looks fine here but feels slow on your laptop/phone, the device may be the issue.
5. Check for outages
Visit our status.infinite.net.au or contact support to confirm if there’s an outage in your area.
6. Reduce interference
Devices like microwaves, cordless phones, or older Wi-Fi gear can cause drops. Try switching them off temporarily and re-testing.
7. Reset as a last step
If nothing else works:
Hold the reset button on the back of your router for 10 seconds.
The lights will flash, and it will restart with factory settings.
Reconnect it using the InfiniteIQ app.
